I think this background information will be helpful if you read the series or, more important, if you, too, have struggled to arrange credit card processing. My own search began when I was tipped off that I was paying more than necessary for my transactions. Many years ago, I agreed to let my bank handle them, and since then, I had given the topic little thought.
