Does Webservius take care of API billing and payment processing?

Answer by Eugene Osovetsky:

WebServius certainly takes care of API billing and payment processing as part of our complete API management solution. In fact, the WebServius product was specifically designed from the very beginning with pay-per-use APIs in mind. You don't need to do anything special (like set up merchant accounts) to start billing for your API – just connect your API to us, set up pricing, and you're on your way.

Specifically, we have sophisticated metering features (you can count calls, successful calls, items returned in a call, count different types of calls differently, etc), a rich set of pricing features (price-per-unit, monthly fee, tiered pricing, discounts, promotions, etc), and various billing options (billing fully taken care of by WebServius, billing via your own merchant account, billing by you).

As for comparison with Mashery and 3scale, I am obviously a bit biased 🙂 so I will leave it to others to do a full comparison. However, it is worth mentioning that the vast majority of our features are openly available in a self-service fashion, so you can simply create an account on webservius.com and see for yourself. Also, unlike Mashery and 3Scale, we do some things that are beyond just API management, like automated API creation from tabular data and end-user delivery of tabular data via web UI (as opposed to an API).
